Affiliation with the Centre for African Research.
Visiting researchers may apply for affiliation with CAR. Affiliates will be accorded access to our wide network of researchers including vital research literature from our partners like the local governments and government departments.
Affiliates are also expected to deposit a copy of their published results with the Centre for African Research. Prospective affiliates should have knowledge of Uganda National Council for Science and Technology (UNCST) requirements prior to initiating contact with the Centre for African Research. Arrangements can be made at a fee for the centre to process clearance from UNCST and also in helping researchers acquire Research Ethical Clearance (REC).Please contact us on for more details on affiliation and research clearance processing fees.
An application for affiliation must be accompanied by a recommendation from the Director of Research at the Centre for African Research.
How to apply.
We categorise applications into Self-funded and Institutional applications. Overall, the centre factors in costs for Research, Supervision and Administration fees.
Researchers/Affiliates should send a soft copy of their research proposals and CV/resume for Centre for African Research to ascertain whether your research aligns with our interests. We will contact you in 14 working days to confirm whether you are legible for affiliation and also send you information of the affiliation requirements.
